Brief Introduction of Zinc Sulfate

Zinc Sulfate (Heptahydrate, CAS: 7733-02-0, UN 3077) belongs to Class 9 miscellaneous dangerous goods. It appears as white crystalline granules, easily soluble in water and prone to efflorescence in dry air.

In mineral flotation industry:

1. It acts as an effective depressant for sphalerite during the separation flotation of lead-zinc ore and associated gold ore, restraining zinc mineral floating so as to upgrade the grade of lead concentrate.

2. It adjusts the ionic environment of slurry to stabilize the sorting performance of xanthate collectors and terpenic oil frothers.

Besides flotation application, it is applied for heavy metal precipitation in mine wastewater treatment and serves as zinc fertilizer for tailings ecological restoration.
It is usually packed in 25kg laminated woven bags for bulk overseas shipment.
