Brief Introduction of Ethyl Acetate

Ethyl Acetate ( UN 1173) is categorized as Class 3 flammable liquid. It is a colorless solvent with fruit aroma, miscible with most organic solvents.

In mining and mineral processing field:

1. It is used in precious metal fire assay laboratories to clean glassware, extract and separate trace precious metal compounds from test samples.

2. It dissolves residual sticky organic flotation reagents on filter cloths and activated carbon to unblock micropores.

3. It serves as a diluent for high-viscosity oily mining reagents to enhance their dispersion in ore slurry.

Apart from mine applications, it is commonly used in paint manufacturing, adhesive production and daily chemical industry.
It is normally packed in 200L sealed steel drums for export, and must be stored away from open flame, static electricity and oxidizing substances.
