Produktbeschreibung

(UN 1090) ist als entzündbare Flüssigkeit der Klasse 3 eingestuft. Es ist ein farbloser, hochflüchtiger und gut mischbarer organischer Lösungsmittel.

In der Mineralaufbereitungsindustrie:

1. Es wird in Assay-Laboren zur Reinigung von Laborglasgeräten und zur Dehydrierung von Erztestproben für die Brandprobeanalyse von Gold und Edelmetallen verwendet.

2. Es entfernt Fett und Restreagenzien von Filtertüchern und goldbeladener Aktivkohle.

3. Es verdünnt ölige Flotationsschäumer wie Kiefernöl, um die Dispersionsleistung in der Aufschlämmung zu verbessern.

Es wird auch häufig zum Verdünnen von Farben, zur Entfettung von Metallen und zur organischen chemischen Synthese verwendet.
Es wird normalerweise in 200-Liter-Stahlfässern für den Export verpackt und sollte von Zündquellen und Oxidationsmitteln ferngehalten werden.
